How to use the Slug Generator

1. Enter the title or phrase you want to turn into a slug.
2. Generate the slug (lowercase, hyphen-separated).
3. Copy the result into your CMS or code.
4. Edit the source text and regenerate if needed.

How it works

The generator lowercases text, replaces spaces and punctuation with hyphens, and strips characters that are unsafe in URLs so the result is a readable permalink segment.

Good for blog posts, product pages and documentation URLs.

• “Price: $5 & Free Shipping” → a cleaned hyphenated slug without unsafe symbols
• “Café Menu” → accents handled according to the tool’s normalization rules

Are special characters removed?

Yes. Characters that do not belong in a simple URL path segment are stripped or replaced.

Can I use the slug as a full URL?

The output is the path segment only—you still add your domain and folders.

Is the Slug Generator free?

Yes.
